About the IEA
The International Energy Agency (IEA) was established in 1974 and is the energy forum for 26 industrialised countries (including Australia). The IEA is an autonomous agency linked with the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and based in Paris.
IEA Member governments are committed to taking joint measures to meet oil supply emergencies. They also have agreed to share energy information, to co-ordinate their energy policies and to co-operate in the development of rational energy programmes.
The IEA conducts a broad programme of energy research, data compilation, publications and public dissemination of the latest energy policy analysis and recommendations on good practices.

The IEA's Oil Market Report (OMR) is a key industry publication. The OMR is published each month and contains detailed information on the international oil market including commentary, charts and key data on supply, demand, stocks, prices and refinery activity. There is a free public access site.
